Who Makes Us So Great
EVIE
Evie joined the club 6 years ago after taking part in some club taster session at primary school. You'll usually see Evie up front on the pitch (usually wearing something pink)! When asked about her favourite memory of the club her reply was 'It all!'
BAYLEE
Baylee has been with the club for around a year. He joined after doing hockey at school. He loves running around, especially as a forward. He loves coming to hockey to see his friends and tell us all how smart he is...
THALIA
Thalia has played with us for 5 years, after following in her sister, Evies, footsteps. She enjoys playing at the back and loves coming to hockey to chat with her friends and taking part in club games. Hockey is just one of her talents, she also plays the French horn, although not at the same time!
ABI
Abi has been with the club for just over 4 years. In that time she has shown herself to be a solid (and loud!!!) defender that loves to gossip while she's (supposed to be) perfecting her technique. She initially got involved in the club via social media and her favourite memory is the first time she scored in a game, a world class goal, according to Abi...
RHYS
Rhys is one of newer members, having joined just under a year ago, having enjoyed doing hockey at school with "the best teacher ever." He is a very sporty young man that takes takes part in rugby, football and swimming as well as his favourite, hockey. He loves playing in tournaments and is usually the first to get started in training games.
JORDAN
Jordan is one of stalwarts of the club, having joined 7 years ago, following a funday at the Magnum. When he is not playing his Xbox, he likes nothing more than leading the team from the front! Particularly during previous adults v juniors games.
WILLIAM
William has been with the club for 5 years now and has become an accomplished forward, particularly on the right, even scoring on his senior debut. He enjoys working within a team, particularly during games. He takes this into his 'day job' when on lifeguard duty!
DYLAN
Dylan is one of our newer members, having joined just over a year ago with a family member. He loved playing in midfield and dictating play or just playing in games, which is incredible given his long sightedness in one eye and short sightedness in the other! His favourite memory is taking part in his first junior tournament - although he has played in plenty since!
KLEO-DREW
Kleo-Drew has become a very capable young midfielder in the year and a bit that she has been with the club. She has a very busy schedule, between dancing, hockey and paddle boarding but loves meeting her friends at the club on a Friday night. She decided to join the club after her teacher delivered some hockey sessions and has even enjoyed watching the Scottish Cup finals in Edinburgh
KARSON
Karson has been at the club for around 6 months, joining his cousin after some taster sessions at school with his teacher. He loves lots of other sports, particularly football and paddle boarding but especially loves meeting his friends at hockey, especially when he gets to score some goals!
IAIN (COACH)
Iain has been involved with hockey for almost 20 years, playing in Glasgow but has also coached in North Ayrshire for over 10 years and has been nominated for Community Coach of the Year and Volunteer of the Year. When he is not winding up the kids at Phoenix he can usually be found running about up front (or at least attempting to) and barking out instructions to his clubmates.
BROOKE (COACH)
Brooke is one of the senior coaches at the club. She has been involved with the club since its inception, having previously been involved with other clubs. She has played at various levels for over 10 years and has a fantastic rapport with the kids at the club. She is known for being a bit of a utility player, just as capable anywhere on the pitch.
